THE LEARNING QUESTION

After reading,
what can your child do?

A reading becomes a task worth thinking about. Learners find clues, explain choices and create something another person can understand and use.

Core level: Singapore Primary 4–5. Learners in Australia, mainland China and other school systems can discuss fit by school year, reading level and expression needs. Class arrangements are confirmed individually.

01 / LEARNING GOALS

Three connected strands.

01

Read beyond the words.

Understand context, locate clues and distinguish facts, inferences and unknowns.

02

Think beyond a first impression.

Compare information and choices; explain what works and where its limits lie.

03

Express for someone else.

Consider audience and purpose, organise an explanation and revise it using feedback.

02 / SIX CAPABILITIES

Six capabilities. Observable actions.

01

EXPLORE

Notice & question

Notice details, ask questions and find relevant information.

02

RESPOND

Understand & respond

Understand context, listen carefully and respond with evidence.

03

THINK

Reason & judge

Separate facts from inferences; weigh evidence and alternatives.

04

COMPOSE

Structure & express

Select information for a reader and express ideas clearly.

05

CREATE

Transfer & create

Apply learning to a new task and make something that can be tested.

06

REFLECT

Reflect & improve

Revise using feedback, then try independently.

03 / THE TERM

A ten-week view of learning.

W01

Establish a starting point

Record an initial independent attempt and evidence from the task.

W02–04

Practise and revise

Apply feedback through concrete changes across learning tasks.

W05

Check independently

Use unfamiliar material to review progress and adjust support.

W06–09

Apply and transfer

Practise in new contexts with progressively less support.

W10

Review and plan

Compare evidence from the start, midpoint and end; identify a next step.

CURRENT CLASS AVAILABILITY

Discuss the fit. Confirm the arrangements.

Our teaching schedules and class arrangements currently focus on families in Australia and Singapore. Families in other regions, including mainland China, are welcome to enquire. Participation depends on the specific timetable, teacher availability and your child’s starting point.

If no suitable arrangement is available, you may email a waitlist request for the team to review and confirm. This does not reserve a place or guarantee a class.

PARENT QUESTIONS

Questions parents ask.

How is INSPIX Academy different from ordinary tuition?

We take subject knowledge and school demands seriously, and also look at how a learner understands a task, explains a reason and uses feedback. In our current English programmes, learners find textual evidence, organise responses and try unfamiliar material independently. INSPIX 01 focuses on reading, thinking and expression; INSPIX 02 provides PSLE preparation for P6 Standard English. Other subjects and projects will be introduced as they are prepared.

Who teaches my child, and what experience do the teachers have?

The team includes practising public- and private-school teachers and tutors with substantial teaching and practical experience. Teachers have an average of over 15 years of teaching experience. We value clear explanations, recognition of learning difficulties and specific feedback alongside experience. Before confirming enrolment, ask about your class teacher, their background and credentials available for verification. Employment does not imply endorsement by the schools.

How does OSAT track progress, strengths and current difficulties?

OSAT starts with enrolled learners’ actual tasks: first responses, support received, revisions and independent attempts on fresh material. Comparable tasks and teacher observations help review progress over time, recognise strengths and identify useful practice. Record summaries and report workflows are being integrated into courses. The team confirms the records and feedback available for each class. A single performance is not a fixed capability label.
