Programmes & fit
How is INSPIX Academy different from ordinary tuition?
We take subject knowledge and school demands seriously, and also look at how a learner understands a task, explains a reason and uses feedback. In our current English programmes, learners find textual evidence, organise responses and try unfamiliar material independently. INSPIX 01 focuses on reading, thinking and expression; INSPIX 02 provides PSLE preparation for P6 Standard English. Other subjects and projects will be introduced as they are prepared.
My child is strong in maths and science, but hesitates to speak or write full explanations after changing schools. Can INSPIX help?
A child may understand the subject but still need ways to organise and express that understanding in English. INSPIX practises finding textual clues, separating facts from inferences and structuring evidence-based explanations. The aim is to help learners move from understanding a lesson to explaining ideas in speech and writing, and gradually participating in discussion. We first discuss their starting point in comprehension and expression.
What age and English level is INSPIX 01 designed for?
The core audience is Singapore Primary 4–5, particularly children with some basic conversational English who want to strengthen academic reading, reasoning and written expression. For families in Australia, mainland China and other school systems, we discuss fit using location, school year and English learning background rather than treating school years as equivalent. Participation depends on current timetables and teacher availability.
Who is INSPIX 02 for, and must my child complete 01 first?
INSPIX 02 is designed for Singapore P6 Standard English. The three-term plan includes 30 lessons and 60 hours, covering writing, language and comprehension, listening and oral work. 01 and 02 are offered in parallel; 01 is not a prerequisite. We discuss fit using actual learning performance, starting points and exam goals, then confirm timetable, teacher and fees.
Teachers & Network
Who teaches my child, and what experience do the teachers have?
The team includes practising public- and private-school teachers and tutors with substantial teaching and practical experience. Teachers have an average of over 15 years of teaching experience. We value clear explanations, recognition of learning difficulties and specific feedback alongside experience. Before confirming enrolment, ask about your class teacher, their background and credentials available for verification. Employment does not imply endorsement by the schools.
How can INSPIX Network help my child?
Network is progressively connecting professionals from different industries, educators, students and alumni. Real questions, industry perspectives and project feedback can help learners understand the world beyond the classroom and explore interests, future directions and goals. Mentors, formats and activities are introduced as arrangements are confirmed. Not every programme includes individual mentor matching or career planning.
Learning records & support
What does “Make learning visible” mean?
Alongside right and wrong answers, we record how a learner thinks and revises: the first attempt, where they got stuck, the support they received, what they changed and whether they can do it independently next time. Work samples and support records help parents understand specific changes and next steps. This website shows teaching examples; an individual learner’s records come from their own classroom tasks.
How much homework is there? Will I need to spend a lot of time tutoring or translating?
The goal is to build independence gradually. Teachers use models, questions or sentence frames when needed, then reduce support as appropriate so learners practise finding clues, using feedback and revising for themselves. Parents can encourage children to explain their thinking without writing answers or translating every sentence for them. Homework and expected time are confirmed for the particular class before enrolment; the support needed at the start varies by learner.
How does OSAT track progress, strengths and current difficulties?
OSAT starts with enrolled learners’ actual tasks: first responses, support received, revisions and independent attempts on fresh material. Comparable tasks and teacher observations help review progress over time, recognise strengths and identify useful practice. Record summaries and report workflows are being integrated into courses. The team confirms the records and feedback available for each class. A single performance is not a fixed capability label.
What technology supports class practice, homework and exam preparation?
The foundations for class practice, homework and PSLE and other mocks are substantially built; course integration and class acceptance checks are underway. Different task conditions connect to appropriate feedback: responding during lessons, submitting and revising homework, and reviewing errors after independent checks or mocks. Supported practice is recorded separately from timed independent work. Confirm the question banks, access and accepted functions for your class.
Does AI replace the teacher or do the work for my child?
AI assistance for record summaries and draft feedback develops through acceptance checks. Teachers retain responsibility for review and teaching judgement. Learners still explain reasons, use feedback and complete their own independent tasks. Any permitted AI use and acknowledgement follow the task requirements. Assisted work alone does not demonstrate independent mastery.
Lessons & enrolment
How can I find out whether the programme suits my child?
Select “Enquire now” and share your child’s location, school year, school feedback and main learning priorities. The page prepares an email draft: review and send it in your email app so the team receives it. We discuss needs and programme fit before confirming arrangements and fees. There is no obligation to enrol. If no suitable class is available, select future classes / waitlist in the form and email the request for the team to review and confirm.
Can families outside Singapore and Australia join?
Families in mainland China and elsewhere are welcome to enquire. Current timetables and class arrangements mainly serve Australia and Singapore; participation depends on local lesson times, teacher availability and the learner’s starting point. Mainland China and Singapore share UTC+8, but a suitable class still needs confirmation. If none is available, email a future-class or waitlist request for the team to review and confirm.
How do online lessons work, and what should we prepare?
Online lessons connect discussion, specific tasks and teacher feedback. Prepare a computer or tablet with a clear view of materials, a stable connection, headphones or a microphone, and the required writing materials. 01 and 02 have different lesson patterns: view the course details and confirm local times, platform access and submission arrangements before enrolment. The video centre explains why we teach online.
What about fees, class size, absences and refunds?
The team provides the total fee, currency, class size, start dates, absence or make-up arrangements and refund terms in writing before enrolment is confirmed. This website uses email to discuss fit and enrolment interest. Preparing a draft does not send it; you still review and send it in your email app. Official payment arrangements follow confirmation of the relevant details.
Results, feedback & information
Can you guarantee a score or AL1?
Focused practice, feedback and fresh-material checks address specific learning difficulties. Results also depend on starting points, participation, practice and exam performance. We do not promise a particular score, AL grade or admission result. Consider the response conditions and independent application alongside the score.
How should I interpret the results and family perspectives on this site?
The results and feedback page labels each source: the founder’s children’s results are family experiences; parent feedback is presented as anonymous excerpts; work and report samples are labelled teaching examples. Read results, personal experiences and teaching samples in their own context. Individual experiences do not promise another learner’s outcome.
Are learning records public, and how are enquiries sent?
The form prepares an email draft on your device; it does not automatically submit your entries. The team receives the enquiry only after you send it in your email app. Confirm course-specific record scope, access and retention arrangements with the team before enrolment. Publishing a learner’s work, name or family feedback requires appropriate consent. For an initial enquiry, a nickname, school year and specific learning example are enough.
